A change is as good as a holiday

This week revealed quite a bit in terms of research and the issues relating to the social dining culture of Newtown.

As interesting as the issues that were raised from the question:

“How does the demographics and sense of community impact the social/ dining and bar culture of Newtown?”

…forming a good reserach bases for the project was proving to lack the more acadamic studies. Most of the research would need to be primary and difficult to form a good foundation to build upon. A focus on street food and the role if could play in Newtown in enhancing the social vibrance on the suburb. This would provide a more of secondary research as there is a bit more “meat” to the subject area.

From preliminary research, I think it also offers a more innovative possibility for design (and one that could suit Newtown quite well)

A article from  the Sydney Morning Hearld captures the potential for a street food venue in our city.
